TIKKA TACOS — Booking terms & conditions

Last updated: August 2026

At Tikka Tacos, we take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and your rights in relation to it. Please read it carefully.

1.  Booking Confirmation

1.1  A booking with Tikka Tacos is confirmed only upon receipt of a signed copy of these Terms & Conditions and the agreed deposit payment.

1.2  Tikka Tacos reserves the right to hold a provisional date for up to 7 days, after which the date may be released to another client if no deposit has been received.

1.3  By paying the deposit or signing this agreement, the client confirms they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions in full.

2.  Deposit & Payment

2.1  A deposit of 50% of the total agreed fee (or such other percentage as mutually agreed in writing between Tikka Tacos and the client) is required to secure the booking at the time and date the booking is made. Until payment is received in cleared funds, the booking is not secured and may be lost to another paying customer.

2.2  Only when the deposit amount or an agreed variation of the deposit amount is confirmed by Tikka Tacos (in writing or by email) is the preliminary booking confirmed.

2.3  The remaining balance is due no later than 14 clear days prior to the event date, unless otherwise agreed expressly in writing by Tikka Tacos. If the balance is not received within the stipulated timeframe, Tikka Tacos reserves the right to cancel the booking. Any deposit or sum paid at the time of cancellation is non-refundable.

2.4  Tikka Tacos accepts payment via bank transfer, card payment, or such other method as agreed. All prices are inclusive of VAT where applicable.

3.  Non-Refundable Deposit Policy

Important: All deposits paid to Tikka Tacos are strictly non-refundable. The deposit is forfeited in full if the booking is cancelled for any reason, regardless of the notice period given.

3.1  The deposit is paid to reserve the date and cover preliminary costs including planning, preparation, and blocking the date from other bookings. These costs are incurred regardless of whether the event proceeds.

3.2  In the event of a cancellation by the client, the deposit will not be refunded under any circumstances, including but not limited to: personal circumstances, illness, venue issues, or force majeure events within the client’s reasonable control.

3.3  Tikka Tacos strongly recommends that clients obtain appropriate event cancellation insurance to cover the deposit and other costs in the event of unforeseen circumstances.

4.  Cancellation by the Client

4.1  All cancellations must be made in writing (email is acceptable) and directed to Tikka Tacos as soon as possible.

4.2  The following cancellation charges apply in addition to the forfeited deposit:

Notice Given Before Event

Cancellation Charge (of Total Fee)

More than 30 days

Deposit only (non-refundable)

14–30 days

75% of total agreed fee

Less than 14 days

100% of total agreed fee

5.  Changes to Booking

5.1  Any changes to the booking (including date, guest numbers, menu, or location) must be requested in writing and are subject to availability and agreement by Tikka Tacos.

5.2  Date changes are treated as a cancellation and rebooking. The original deposit will not be transferred unless expressly agreed in writing by Tikka Tacos.

5.3  Significant reductions in guest numbers (more than 20% of the originally agreed number) within 30 days of the event may result in additional charges to cover preparation costs already incurred.

6.  Cancellation by Tikka Tacos

6.1  In the unlikely event that Tikka Tacos must cancel a booking, the client will be notified as soon as possible and a full refund of all payments made (including the deposit) will be issued.

6.2  Tikka Tacos’ liability in the event of cancellation is limited to a full refund of monies paid. No further compensation shall be payable.

7.  Force Majeure

7.1  Tikka Tacos shall not be liable for any failure to perform its obligations where such failure is caused by events beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to: acts of God, government restrictions, pandemic, extreme weather, or third-party venue cancellations.

7.2  In such circumstances, Tikka Tacos will endeavour to reschedule the booking where possible. If rescheduling is not possible, any payments made (excluding the non-refundable deposit unless Tikka Tacos is at fault) will be refunded.

8.  Allergens & Dietary Requirements

8.1  The client is responsible for informing Tikka Tacos of any dietary requirements, allergies, or intolerances of guests no later than 14 days before the event.

8.2  Whilst Tikka Tacos will take all reasonable steps to accommodate dietary needs, we cannot guarantee that our food is free from any specific allergen. Full allergen information is available on request.

9.  General

9.1  These Terms & Conditions constitute the entire agreement between Tikka Tacos and the client and supersede any prior discussions or representations.

9.2  Tikka Tacos reserves the right to amend these terms from time to time. The version in force at the time of booking will apply to that booking.

9.3  These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
